Second Durham man wanted in slaying surrenders

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man sought in connection with a March slaying surrendered to police Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday.

Christopher Wayne McGill, 38, of Willowdale Drive, was charged with murder in the March 16 shooting death of Daniel Evans.

Evans, 25, of Raleigh, was slain inside Evans Mini Mart, near Linwood and Alston avenues.

Police arrested Rashaun Lamont Mason, 22, of Naples Place, the day after the shooting. Michael Tyree Brown, 19, of Massey Avenue, surrendered last week.

All three men were in the Durham County jail without bond Wednesday.
