Search thousands of Atlantic Coast Pipeline records released by the governor's office

On December 20, 2018, Gov. Roy Cooper’s administration released a trove of documents related to the Atlantic Coast Pipeline project and the administration’s negotiations with the pipeline consortium over a $57.8 million mitigation fund.

General Assembly Republicans have held hearings on that fund and recently hired a private investigator to probe whether there was any quid-pro-quo between the fund and the administration’s decision to permit the pipeline. Cooper has denied this.

This sort of fund was also negotiated in Virginia, which the pipeline is expected to cross, but the memorandum laying out North Carolina’s version gave more power to the governor to decide how that money would be spent, something documents previously released show the Cooper administration negotiated into the deal.

Editor's note: Given the number of documents in the system, search may take several seconds to return results.
