Scratch Kitchen and Taproom is expanding into Cary.

The restaurant has announced plans to open a second location in the former home of Postmaster restaurant at 160 E. Cedar St. this spring.

"We are thrilled for the opportunity to bring our passion for made from scratch dishes, hand-crafted cocktails and Southern hospitality to this great community. We look forward to becoming a positive contribution to the already thriving and growing restaurant and retail scene in downtown Cary," Scratch owners posted on social media.

Scratch Kitchen's first location opened in 2018 at 225 N. Salem St. in Apex.

Postmaster opened in 2018, but had shifted its normal menu and concept last year due to COVID-19. The restaurant temporarily rebranded as burger joint Gov't Cheeseburger.
