School bus with 7 elementary students crashes in Nash County

A school bus with seven students on board had an accident Friday morning.

Spring Hope, N.C. — A school bus was involved in an accident with a truck in Nash County Friday morning on NC-97 in Nash County. The accident was reported around 7:48 a.m.

Officials said there were seven elementary students aboard the bus.

According to police an oncoming pickup truck crossed the center line. The bus steered to the right to avoid it, but the truck did hit the bus.

No major injuries were reported. Another bus came to pick the students up.
