School bus collapses into sinkhole in downtown Durham
No students were on board Wednesday when a parked school bus collapsed into a sinkhole in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — No students were on board Wednesday when a parked school bus collapsed into a sinkhole in Durham.
A spokesperson from the Durham Police Department said the sinkhole opened underneath the bus around 12:30 p.m. outside the Carolina Theatre on West Morgan Street. The bus did not drive into the hole.
The driver and the bus were unharmed, but the hole was so deep that a tow truck had to raise the bus to get it out of the hole.
It measured at least several feet wide.
