SC man accused of child sex crimes in Fayetteville

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has charged a Columbia, S.C., man with sex crimes involving four children in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has charged a Columbia, S.C., man with sex crimes involving four children in Fayetteville. 

Fred Holloway III, 27, also faces similar charges in South Carolina, where he was being held in the Richland County jail Thursday.

The sheriff's office said Thursday that Holloway confessed to inappropriate behavior with Cumberland County children between 2005 and 2010. For those alleged crimes, he was charged with first-degree rape of a child, first-degree sex offense with a child, sex offense in a parental role, crimes against nature, taking indecent liberties with a child and disseminating obscene material to a minor.

He will be extradited to Cumberland County after he faces trial in South Carolina.
