Saying thank you: Free meals for first responders today

WRAL is partnering with Hardee's on Tuesday to offer free meals to first responders in the Triangle and Wilmington areas.

Law enforcement officials, firefighters, EMS workers and paramedics, volunteer first responders and emergency dispatchers are all eligible for a free breakfast or lunch today if they show up in uniform or show official identification.

First Responders Day appropriately takes place on 9/11, a day when countless emergency workers risked their lives to save others.

With Hurricane Florence right around the corner, we'll depend on our first responders this week more than ever.
