Saturated SC bridge gives way as truck crosses

The Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office shared a photo Monday of a tractor trailer that dropped right along with the surface of a South Carolina roadway.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — The Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office shared a photo Monday of a tractor trailer that dropped right along with the surface of a South Carolina roadway.

The driver was miraculously uninjured when the saturated Highway 404 gave way.

According to the National Weather Service, Chesterfield County saw more than 16 inches of rainfall during the storm.
