SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Police Department said a man suspected of shooting two Raleigh women in San Diego was arrested.

The women were shot just over a week ago in San Diego while away on a business trip.

They were caught in the crossfire of what started as a fight in the street.

San Diego police said 25-year-old Johnza Watson will face charges for attempted murder.

Toni Yrlas and Lane Sheer worked together at the Preiss Company, which manages student and multi-family housing in the Triangle.

They're both expected to survive the shooting.

A GoFundMe set up to help them in their recovery has shattered its $75,000 dollar goal.

As of Sunday afternoon, more than 850 people have donated more than $185,000 dollars.
