ROSEBORO, N.C. — A Sampson County woman is missing, and authorities said that her husband is the main suspect her disappearance.

Sampson County Sheriff Jimmy Thornton believes that Kiara Wiggins is in danger. They are actively searching for Carl Wiggins and the car they believe he stole, a Ford Exersion.

Carl Wiggins, husband of Kiara Wiggins, is a suspect in her disapperance.

Carl was last seen at the Budget Inn off U.S. Highway 701, across from the Clinton Center, on Saturday. His family members got into a fight with him there, and he left the area. Witnesses report he was alone at the Inn and that Kiara was not with him.

Officials believe he is headed north.

Carl Wiggins is wanted for stealing a black Ford Exersion in Bladen Co.

Carl and Kiara Wiggins have been married for about 12 years, her family said.

Her family is desperate for information about where she might be. Her sister, Judy Murray, said it's not like her to leave suddenly and not be in touch with family members.

"I don't know what came over him, but if I knew she was in this much danger, I would have been there," she said.
