News Philosophy:

It's a great responsibility and privilege that people trust us to share their story, and I don't take it lightly. Respect their story.  Most people just want to be heard and understood.

Education:

Communication Studies & Journalism (Summa Cum Laude) -- UNC Charlotte, 2017

Birthplace:

I was born in Russia and I speak Russian fluently.

Hobbies, Interests & Community Involvement:

I am an *amateur* guitar player. I have enough self-awareness to know I'm not good, but it's something I do in the evenings to unwind. I also love to cook, especially for a group of friends or family.  My perfect weekend? Family:

I have two older sisters and one younger brother. I also have three nieces and two nephews! Family means everything to me, and I am really close to my parents and siblings.

Likes Best About North Carolina:

It's home! I grew up in Charlotte and spent summers on Carolina beaches. This state is dear to my heart.
