News Philosophy:

There are so many stories out there about a variety of issues. Whether it’s politics, education, transportation, all of it affects real people. Those stories deserve to be told and I hope I can shed light on issues that matter to you watching at home.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Communications from Central Methodist University.

Birthplace/Hometown:

High Ridge, Missouri, a town just outside St. Louis.

Hobbies, interests, community involvement:

I love all things fitness and sports. I can sit down and watch almost any sport on TV, but I am in love with the agonizingly enjoyable game that is golf. I hope I can use that passion to find ways to give back here in Raleigh. Back home in Missouri, I served as a volunteer staff member for a program led by the American Legion called Missouri Boys State. It’s a program that teaches youth about democracy.

Family and pets:

I am one of my parents four children (two brothers and a sister)

Favorite websites, books, podcasts, movies:

Favorite books have and always will be Harry Potter. I don’t have an all-time favorite movie but I make it a point to watch the Oscars and the Golden Globes every year because I love Hollywood.

Likes best about NC:

The weather!!! I can now play golf pretty much year round!

Most memorable assignments:

2019 saw historic flooding up and down the Mississippi. In some spots, it was the second highest flood on record. The devastation and force the water had was unbelievable. However, there were countless stories throughout that time that showed how great humanity can be when focused on a common goal.
