News Philosophy:
Take care of your back yard. Know your local teams and schools inside and out.

Education:
Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, minor in Sociology, 2003, Syracuse University

Hometown:
Scranton, Penn. .. yes, that Scranton from "The Office."

Favorite Books & Movies:
Anything cerebral. I'm a huge fan of films that make you think, ala, "The Shining," "Memento," "The Usual Suspects" and "The Machinist." Anything by Christopher Nolan or Darren Aronofsky is usually right up my alley.

Likes Best About North Carolina:
Definitely the people. Always so incredibly helpful and easy to work with. Coming from a school that gets 120+ inches a year, I could take more snow though, which I'm aware, is not a popular call!

Most Memorable Assignments:
My most enjoyable experiences in broadcast haven't been the big trips to bowl games or tournaments but rather, the ones where we get to make a personal connection. The stories you get to tell where the interviewee or his/her's family will still go out of their way to talk with you months or years later.
