Rollerblader dies in Durham crash

Authorities said 24-year-old Dejan Foster was rollerblading in the southbound lanes of Old Oxford Road at 10:30 p.m.

Michael Carrigan, 47, of Durham, was driving north and crossed the dotted yellow line to pass an SUV.

Carrigan’s vehicle struck Foster, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Carrigan was charged with speeding and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
