Rocky Mount woman accused of battery of an unborn child

Rocky Mount, N.C. — A Rocky Mount woman is accused battery on an unborn child.
Brittany Jefferson, 28, is accused of assaulting a woman who was pregnant, pulling her hair and punching her in the face.
Court documents show she also kneed the pregnant woman in the stomach.
According to warrants, the alleged assault happened last month.
The documents did not show what led to the incident.
