Rocky Mount shooting death investigated
Police said Wednesday that they were investigating a shooting death that occurred Tuesday night in Rocky Mount.
Posted — UpdatedROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Police said Wednesday that they were investigating a shooting death that occurred Tuesday night in Rocky Mount.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 2028 Brandon Lane at about 8:30 p.m. and found James Tony Cooper, 46, wounded inside the house, police said.
Cooper was taken to Nash General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No other details were released.
