Rocky Mount Searches for Second Suspect in Officer-Involved Shooting

— The Rocky Mount Police Department, in conjunction with the State Bureau of Investigation, are searching for an additional suspect in an officer-involved shooting.

The shooting happened at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday at 1410 S. Franklin St. The officer was not injured. A suspect was taken to Nash General Hospital and is in critical condition, according to a press release from the department.

The suspect was seen leaving the 1500 block of S. Franklin St. immediately following the shooting.

Police declined to release any other details pending the conclusion of the investigation.
