ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A man was shot three times in a drive-by shooting in the 800 block of Norfolk Street Thursday night, according to Rocky Mount Police.

Investigators said that a blue Honda Accord with three occupants pulled up alongside Joseph Earl Bullock and his girlfriend as they were walking toward Sammy's at Old Wilson Road around 10:45 p.m.

A man in the back seat began shooting at them, and the Honda sped away, police said. Bullets struck Bullock in the left forearm, right upper leg and upper chest.

Bullock transported to Nash General Hospital and then transferred to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Police said his condition was stable early Friday.

Investigators said they don't have any suspects.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Capt. Laura Fahnestock at 252-972-1681 or Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
