Rocky Mount police are trying to identify two men involved in a bank robbery Thursday afternoon.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police are trying to identify two men involved in a bank robbery Thursday afternoon.

The men entered the First South Bank, at 300 Sunset Ave., around 1:50 p.m., police said. One man stayed in the lobby, while the second gave the teller a note demanding money.

The men took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot through the rear door facing Sunset Avenue, investigators said.

No weapons were used in the robbery, and no one was injured, police said.

One man was described as black, in his 30s to 40s, 5 feet 4 inches tall. He wore a black jacket, blue jeans and purple toboggan.

The second man was described as black, in his 30s to 40s, 5 feet 6 inches tall. He wore a black jacket, t-shirt and dark pants.
