(AP) — Rescuers raced Saturday to search for survivors and help hundreds of people left homeless after a powerful tornado cut a devastating path through Mississippi, killing at least 25 people, injuring dozens, and flattening entire blocks as it carved a path of destruction for more than an hour. One person was killed in Alabama.

Rock Quarry Road in downtown Raleigh has been shut down since a wreck damaged power lines Thursday evening, police said.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Rock Quarry Road in downtown Raleigh has been shut down since a wreck damaged power lines Thursday evening, police said.

A woman suffered minor injuries in the wreck on Rock Quarry Road, near Lenoir Street, and was taken to WakeMed, police said.

Rock Quarry Road was shut down for repairs to the power lines. Northbound is being diverted at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and southbound is being diverted at Lenoir Street.
