Robeson County man facing multiple drug charges

A Robeson County man is facing multiple drug charges after a traffic stop on Tuesday.

FAIRMONT, N.C. — A Robeson County man is facing multiple drug charges after a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Alejandro Acevedo, 23, of Fairmont, was arrested by deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office and charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II and IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to a ½ oz, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Acevedo was placed in the Robeson County Detention Center under a $300,000 secured bond.

Robeson County Drug Enforcement Division investigators and deputies with the Community Impact Team conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Nissan Altima at the intersection of Wire Grass Road and Little Rod Road in Lumberton. During the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Deputies located and seized a quantity of Xanax pills, heroin, fentanyl, Suboxone strips, an AR-15 rifle and drug paraphernalia.

Officials said a search was later conducted at a residence on Little Rod Road and additional drug paraphernalia items were seized.
