Robeson County man dies from stab wound
Robeson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a stabbing that left a man dead on Friday.

Deputies were called to 45 Hazel Rd. in Pembroke on Friday at around 2:43 p.m. in reference to someone who was stabbed. Vernar Hammonds, 32, was found with a stab wound. He was transported to Southeastern Health, where he died from his injuries.
Investigators said the incident began after a dispute between two groups but did not elaborate. They said they have a person of interest and were still investigating.
