Robeson County deputies find man dead in wrecked vehicle

Red Springs, N.C. — Robeson County deputies are investigating the scene of a crash where a man was found in a vehicle dead of at least one gunshot wound.
Deputies responded to the 4000 block of Old Lowery Rd. in Red Springs at around 10:18 p.m. on Wednesday after a report of a wrecked vehicle and a person shot. They found Azell Jamil Houston, 33, of Parkton in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the incident occurred when the vehicle was leaving the Thunder Valley Raceway Track.
