Robbers force Fayetteville McDonald's workers into freezer

Three masked men forced McDonald's employees into a freezer during a robbery shortly before midnight Sunday, Fayetteville police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Three masked men forced McDonald's employees into a freezer during a robbery shortly before midnight Sunday, Fayetteville police said.

One of the men who entered the McDonald's at 5009 Santa Fe Drive was carrying a shotgun, police said. They forced a worker to open a safe and moved all the employees into the freezer. They then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.
