Greensboro police issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for Kayson Osiah Monk, 9 months, who is believed to be with Deon Lamar Monk, 23. Police did not say how the two are related.

Halifax County sheriff's officials arrested a 49-year-old Roanoke Rapids man Sunday and charged him with first-degree sex offense and indecent liberties with a minor.

<b>ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C.</b> — Halifax County sheriff's officials arrested a 49-year-old Roanoke Rapids man Sunday and charged him with first-degree sex offense and indecent liberties with a minor.

Willie James Rosser was being held in the Halifax County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 15.

The sheriff's office did not release any other information about the case.
