Two of three eastbound lanes near milemaker 17 and the ramp from northbound U.S. Highway 1 to I-540 east will be closed (see map below, in red) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.<br />

A detour (map, orange) will direct drivers from U.S. 1 to turn right on Old Wake Forest Road (State Road 2030) and left on Triangle Town Boulevard and to follow to I-540 East.<br />

The closures are necessary for a contractor to complete punch list items for the I-540 project, DOT said.
