Rise Against Hunger, the Raleigh-based international hunger relief nonprofit, is launching a gardening program for all ages and skill levels to bring awareness and support to its mission.

The Garden Club will give participants a chance to test out their family's green thumbs, according to the group, but also support people who are facing hunger right now. Participants can register online from now until June 3 by paying a $50 or more membership fee. That membership fee supports the continuation of sustainable agriculture programs worldwide for people in need as part of Rise Against Hunger’s COVID-19 Relief & Resilience Plan.

Garden Club participants will receive the supplies needed to grow their own vegetables, including green beans, lettuce, beets and cucumber seeds; a pair of special edition gloves; a club sticker and more. They’ll also receive tutorial videos full of gardening tips that families can watch together.

More information is on Rise Against Hunger's website.
