A motorcyclist died Monday after losing control of his bike on Owen Drive in Fayetteville and crashing, police said.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A motorcyclist died Monday after losing control of his bike on Owen Drive in Fayetteville and crashing, police said.

Jordan Alexander Breitweiser, 27, of Bunnlevel, was trying to round a turn near the intersection of Owen Drive near Player Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. when the crash occurred, police said.

He died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Westbound lanes of Owen Drive between the All American Freeway and  Raeford Road were closed while police investigated the crash.
