Rex hosts reunion for Special Care Nursery families

Did your little one spend time at Rex Healthcare's Special Care Nursery Family Reunion, also known as the neonatal intensive care unit? 

Rex is hosting a family reunion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, at Ritter Park, 301 Lochmere Dr. West, in Cary. Families are invited to reconnect with their nurses, doctors and other families for a few hours of outdoor activities. The event includes treats such as ice cream, snacks, games, crafts, music and more.

The nursery serves hundreds of premature and critically ill babies each year. It's staffed by neonatologists, nurses and others who help the patients and families. Volunteers, including parents of previous patients, also help out.
