Rex gets OK for Holly Springs center
State regulators have approved Rex Healthcare's application to build a 9,000-square-foot outpatient center in Holly Spring, officials said Thursday.
Posted — UpdatedThe center, near the intersection of N.C. Highway 55 Bypass and Avent Ferry Road, will offer urgent care and basic lab, occupational health and radiology services, including digital mammography and bone density screenings. Rex also plans to build a 10,000-square-foot office building for physicians and other medical practices.
“This facility will provide easier, more convenient access to medical services, state-of-the-art technology, skilled physicians and other health professionals,” David Strong, president of Rex Healthcare, said in a statement.
“The urgent care facility is much needed in Holly Springs," Mayor Dick Sears said in the statement. "With traffic conditions getting more crowded, local access to health care needs is critical and is becoming more important every day."
