ROLESVILLE, N.C. — The Rolesville Veterinariary Hospital is offering a reward for the return of Sydney the Wallaby. The animal, which looks like a small kangaroo, jumped a fence Wednesday afternoon and made his escape, Dr. Jennifer Hummel said.

Hummel described the wallaby as about three feet tall and friendly towards people.

The owners of the animal, Noah's Landing Petting Zoo in Coats, brought him to the hospital for treatment of an abcessed tooth. After his treatment, he was playing outside when he jumped the fence, Hummel said.

Anyone who sees the Sydney is asked to call 919-562-0100.
