Reward offered for clues to Middlesex nightclub slaying

The Middlesex Police Department and the state are offering a reward for information about a shooting outside the Provocon at 12207 W. Finch Ave. on May 9.

MIDDLESEX, N.C. — Middlesex police and the state have offered a reward for information about the slaying of a Zebulon man outside the Provocon nightclub at . on May 9.

Police have said that Gregorio Rodriguez Delgadillo, 27, was shot five times, including once at close range, after a fight started in the nightclub at 12207 W. Finch Ave and spilled out into the parking lot. The nightclub lost its alcohol permit after the shooting.

"To preserve law and order, the person or persons who committed such an infamous crime might be brought to justice," states a proclamation signed by Gov. Bev Perdue authorizing the reward.

Tipsters who share information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible could earn up to $5,000.
