WBTV is reporting that witnesses who were taking care of some last-minute Christmas shopping heard about seven shots fired at about 2:10 p.m.

Charlotte police said off-duty officers were responding to an argument between two groups of people. No officers were injured.

One witness described shoppers running out of stores following the incident.

A Medic said one person was shot in the leg and taken to Novant Health Huntersville Hospital. Two other people were taken to Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries, said WBTV.
