Report: Former Congressman Coble in ICU

Former Congressman Howard Coble was in the intensive care unit at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro Tuesday night, following complications from skin cancer surgery.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Former Congressman Howard Coble was in the intensive care unit at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro Tuesday night, following complications from skin cancer surgery.
Coble's head staffer Ed McDonald told WFMY that Coble was put on a ventilator Friday. He was taken off the ventilator but was back on it Tuesday night.

Coble retired from office last year after learning he had skin cancer. He served 30 years in the United States House before stepping down.

Coble is a Greensboro native and graduated from Guilford College in 1953.
