Remnants of Hurricane Willa will bring rain to the Triangle this weekend
Moisture from Hurricane Willa, which is currently approaching Mexico's Pacific coast, is expected to bring cold and rainy weather to the Triangle this weekend.

“We will enjoy dry weather most of this week but things will take a big turn towards the end of the week,” WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel said.
Tuesday will be warm, with highs in the 70s, before clouds roll in along with a cold front that will make the rest of the week chilly.
Despite the cold weather, Fishel said it will be sunny through Thursday. By Friday morning, however, WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said rain associated with Willa will begin impacting the region.
Once the rain moves in Friday morning, it will stick around through the day before tapering off somewhat on Saturday.
“It’s possible the rain may taper off to more of a drizzly situation Friday evening but it’s still going to be cool and clammy,” Fishel said, noting Friday’s forecast high temperature is just 49 degrees.
The rain will pick back up again on Sunday, Maze said, and the Triangle could see up to 1.5 inches of rain by the end of the weekend.
“It certainly looks like an unsettled weekend,” Fishel said.
The wet weather will keep temperatures chilly over the weekend, with high temperatures in the low-50s and low temperatures in the 40s.
