Reminder: New ALDI store opening Wednesday, 3/28!
Posted March 27, 2012 11:53 a.m. EDT
The new ALDI store will be opening in Wake Forest on March 28th for a half day preview and then on March 29th they will be officially open. Click HERE for the ALDI website.
On Wednesday, March 28, the public is invited to sample and tour the store as part of the Grand Opening festivities. On Wednesday, the store will have reduced hours from 11:00 am - 4 pm. They will begin their regular hours on Thursday, March 29 from 9 am - 8 pm. They are located at 2132 South Main Street in front of Wal-mart and behind Crossroads Nissan.
They will have some great store opening specials at the Wake Forest store including:
Navel Oranges, 4 lb bag for .99
Broccoli, 16 oz., for .89
Pineapple, whole for .99
Potatoes, 10 lb bag for $1.99
If you live close to the new store, you may receive a coupon in the mail for $5 off a $30 purchase. Aldi does not take coupons usually so this is a rare and nice coupon to have. Not all zip codes will receive the coupon, but if you live in Wake Forest, watch your mail in the weeks leading up to the opening.
If you have never shopped at ALDI, I highly recommend you check out their fabulous produce prices and good everyday prices on staple items. In order to keep those prices so low, they have some unusual policies. Here are some helpful policies to remember about Aldi:
* ALDI does not accept manufacturer coupons
* You will need to bring your own bags to bag your groceries. They do not provide any.
* If you wish to use a grocery cart, you will need to deposit a quarter into the cart machine and you will get it back when you return the cart.
* They accept cash, debit and EBT cards as forms of payment. They do not accept credit cards or checks.
