You don't necessarily need regular date nights to keep your relationship with your significant other strong, says psychologist Susan Orenstein of Orenstein Solutions in Cary and Chapel Hill.

It's the little things too - from quick text messages during the day to a mid-week gift of chocolate - that can help keep that bond strong, she tells me.

Orenstein, a doctoral-level psychologist who works with couples, will be here on Go Ask Mom every Wednesday for the next four weeks offering relationship tips. Read my earlier post for more about Orenstein. Check her website to learn more about what Orenstein Solutions offers, including services for kids and families and free workshops.
