RALEIGH, N.C. — Registration is open for the 2015 Komen Triangle Race for the Cure, organizers announced Thursday.
The 5K walk and run, which raises awareness of breast cancer and raises funding to provide screening and treatment for women and families affected by the disease.
The event, which is aiming to raise $1.1 million this year, also celebrates survivors and honors those who have lost their lives.
This year's run is set for 8 a.m. Saturday, June 13 at Meredith College.
Registration is free for children under age 5 and begins at $15 for children 6-12 and $25 for adults.
WRAL-TV is a sponsor of the annual event.
