Baked Apples

1 teaspoon butter, melted
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
6 large apples – cored and hollowed (leave bottoms intact)
½ cup oats
3 1/2 tablespoons water

Optional: Vanilla ice cream

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a large baking dish.

2. Mix brown sugar, melted butter, sugar, oats and cinnamon in a small bowl. Fill the apples with the mixture.

3. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Pour water over apples and continue baking until tender, about 10 minutes more.

4. Top with ice cream if desired!
