Recipe: Easy Sloppy Joes
It's been a go-to recipe from time to time on those weekday nights when I have no time to really cook much of anything.
Posted — UpdatedI first found this recipe for Sloppy Joes in an old church cookbook that's been in my family. It's been a go-to recipe from time to time on those weekday nights when I have no time to really cook much of anything.
And then I was looking on the back of the French's mustard container in my refrigerator and realized that the very same recipe was listed there!
Either way, this one is a hit with my kids.
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
In a large skillet, cook the beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain the fat. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Pour the mixture over the meat and onions. On low heat, stir until it's all combined and heated through - about five minutes.
Here's how it went for me.
