Publix Super Markets has recalled Publix Deli White American Cheese, which is sourced from Great Lakes Cheese, due to possible contamination with a foreign material.

Publix Super Markets has recalled Publix Deli White American Cheese, which is sourced from Great Lakes Cheese, due to possible contamination with a foreign material.

According to the Publix website, the recalled cheese may have been sold in custom ordered subs and from the refrigerated cases located in the deli department in all Publix stores. The product was sold in stores between Oct. 3-11, 2019.

“As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves,” said Maria Brous, Publix media and community relations director.

If you have purchased the cheese or a sub made with the cheese, you can return it to your local store for a full refund. For additional questions, call their Customer Care department at 1-800-242-1227.
