Recall: Hard boiled eggs recall expanded to include Walmart, Costco, Lidl and more due to possible Listeria

The recall of products containing hard boiled eggs, including bagged hard boiled eggs has now been expanded to include products from Walmart, Costco, convenience stores, Trader Joe's, The Fresh Market and more. The recall includes multiple salads, sandwiches, plates, snack packs, dip packs and packaged hard boiled eggs. North Carolina is included in this recall due to possible Listeria contamination.

The recall of products containing hard boiled eggs, including bagged hard boiled eggs has now been expanded to include products from Walmart, Costco, Lidl, convenience stores, Trader Joe's, The Fresh Market and more.

The recall includes multiple salads, sandwiches, plates, snack packs, dip packs and packaged hard boiled eggs. North Carolina is included in this recall due to possible Listeria contamination.

This is a serious recall and there have been several reported illnesses and one reported death due to a Listeria monocytogenes outbreak that has been linked to the recalled Alamark products.

Updated Recall Including Additional Products

Alamrk has expanded their recall first announced on December 20, 2019 to include all hard-boiled eggs manufactured at the firm’s Gainesville, Georgia facility. This expanded recall now includes additional brands such as Egglands Best, Great Value, Kirkland Signature, Best Choice, Lidl, Nellie's, Pete & Gerry's, Simple Truth Organics and more that were distributed nationwide.
The recent Almark Foods recall has now been updated to include products from Great American Deli (including egg salad sandwiches sold in select states including North Carolina at convenience stores) and Reichel Foods Inc. (including Pro2Snax To The Max Granny Apples /Hard-Boiled Egg/Cheddar/Cashew & Craisin and Pro2Snax To The Max Gala Apples/Hard-Boiled Egg/White Cheddar/Almond & Craisin sold nationwide).

Additional Recalls Associated with Alamark Foods Eggs

Trader Joe's and The Fresh Market are recalling products with hard boiled eggs due to possible Listeria.

The recall includes various Trader Joe's Egg White Salad, Trader Joe's Old Fashioned Potato Salad, and multiple salads, plates, snack packs, dip packs, and hard boiled eggs from The Fresh Market. North Carolina is included in this recall.

These recalls are part of the Almark Foods Recall including hard boiled eggs.

Trader Joe's Recall

Trader Joe's was informed by their supplier that the egg ingredient in the recalled products below may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

These Trader Joe's products were sold at Trader Joe's locations in AL, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT & WI.

According to the notice on the Trader Joe's website. "No illnesses have been reported to date for the potentially affected products. The involved products have been removed from store shelves. If you have purchased any of these products with the specified date codes, please do not eat it. Instead, we urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund."

The Fresh Market Recall

The Fresh Market has recalled various salads, plates, snack packs, dip packs, and hard boiled eggs due to possible Listeria contamination.

The following products from The Fresh Market Deli department are being recalled:

Grilled Salmon Bistro Power Plate

According to The Fresh Market recall notice, "No illnesses have been reported to date, and all the potentially affected product has been removed from our stores and destroyed. Instructions: If you purchased the any of the products listed above, please discard them. Please bring your receipt from the purchase of this product to any The Fresh Market location for a full refund. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience."
