Thinking about getting those running shoes out as the weather warms up? Here's some incentive: A free six-week 5K training plan, courtesy of Fit4Mom Midtown Raleigh, to get you ready for the Note in the Pocket Socks & Undie 5K Rundie and Kids Fun Run.

The event will take place on the weekend of April 24 with both an in-person race at Dix Park and a virtual option. Note in the Pocket works to distribute clothing to kids who need it across Wake County.

"Your race entry helps to raise funds for Note in the Pocket, a nonprofit whose mission is to clothe the children of Wake County with dignity and love," says Missy Currin, Fit4Mom Midtown Raleigh's owner. "To help you get started, FIT4MOM is providing free race training plans for beginning to experienced runners."
