RDU ups parking lot security after robbery

Security was increased in parking lots at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Wednesday after two airport employees were robbed at gunpoint, officials said.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Security was increased in parking lots at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Wednesday after two airport employees were robbed at gunpoint, officials said.

The two workers were robbed at about 3:45 a.m. in an employee lot near Terminal 2, RDU spokeswoman Mindy Hamlin said. The robbers took their cellphones, car keys and wallets before driving off in a dark sedan, she said.
