RDU gets $3M to repair pavement

Raleigh-Durham International Airport is getting a $3.3 million federal grant to repair pavement in the airport apron where planes load, refuel and park for maintenance.

DURHAM, N.C. — Raleigh-Durham International Airport is getting a $3.3 million federal grant to repair pavement in the airport apron where planes load, refuel and park for maintenance.

U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C., announced the grant Tuesday, saying it will help the airport maintain service and safety.

The Federal Aviation Administration is providing the money.
