Rash of car thefts reported in Goldsboro

Goldsboro police are investigating 13 reports of car break-ins in the early morning hours of May 12.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police are investigating 13 reports of car break-ins in the early morning hours of May 12. Police said MP3 players, laptop computers, GPS/navigation systems, cash and other items were stolen from cars parked in residential neighborhoods in the northern part of the city.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255 or send a text message to 919-273-6585.

Crime Stoppers recommends that drivers lock vehicles, roll up windows and place valuables out of sight to prevent theft.
