Rivals in life, the rappers Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur are being united for an auction at Sotheby's, the first-ever dedicated hip-hop auction at a major international auction house.

Some of the highlights, of course, are Big East Crown, which came to us directly from Barron Claiborne, the photographer who took the very famous King of New York portrait of Biggie wearing this crown. That's an incredible piece. And, of course, one of the most iconic artifacts from hip hop Big East Crown. The estimate on that is 200,000 to $300,000. So this is the first time any major international auction house has done a sale. Focusing on hip hop and something that I wanna make very clear is that it's not just a musical genre, but the sale focuses on how it is actually a cultural movement. We have love letters written by two Pac Shakur when he was 15 16 years old, to a high school sweetheart. Those came to us directly from the recipient of the letters. The estimate on those is 40,000 to $60,000. We have jewelry. Fab five, Freddie's MTV ring that he designed back in the day, comes directly from Freddy. Yes, um, it on that is 20 to $30,000
