RALEIGH, N.C. — Editor's note: The charges against April Hughes have been expunged by court order.
A Raleigh woman was arrested twice for drunken driving early Saturday morning.
April Hughes was first arrested at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Because she had no prior record, she was permitted to leave the detention facility.
But about four hours later, Hughes was arrested again and charged with a second DWI.
She was released from jail Saturday after posting a $2,500 secured bond.
