RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police credited media coverage with helping lead to the arrest Friday of a woman who they say struck a man as he walked on Hillsborough Street Jan. 1.
The man, whose name was not released, was injured when a red car described as a 1998-2000 model Mazda Miata hit him.
The driver, Virginia Elizabeth Dresser, 19, surrendered to police and faces charges of felony hit-and-run and reckless driving. She was being held Friday on $10,000 bond.
