Raleigh police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Wednesday behind the Valero Mart.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Raleigh police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Wednesday in the 1900 block of Hawkins Street.

Police responded to a report that someone had been shot shortly after midnight and found a man behind the Valero Mart. He was taken to WakeMed, where he died.

The man was identified as 47-year-old Constantino Martinez-Hernandez, police said. They didn't release any information about suspects or a possible motive.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department’s Detective Division at 919-890-3555 or Crime Stoppers at 919-226-CRIME.

According to an arrest warrant obtained by WRAL News, 26-year-old Daquan Seandre Thomas is charged with felony murder and felony concealment of 22-year-old Tyrone Taylor. According to Sheriff Wayne Coats, Thomas was already in jail for a domestic violence incident with the victim's sister.
